CBRE Hotels May 2021 Industry Outlook shows positive potential with dining and gathering restrictions lifting and decreased airfares encouraging travel, combined with pent up demand for leisure travel and increasing corporate travel. It also shows potential challenges from uncertainty, leisure travel aimed outside of Canada, and rate discounting. Overall, the forecast is for 2025 to be the point where levels for Occupancy, ADR and RevPAR should return to 2019 levels.

Navigating the return to that point and successfully competing for returning guests will require hoteliers to be on top of hotel performance and economic data and trends, and all hotel industry stakeholders will need to work together.
