This beloved family-style restaurant and bakery has been serving the travelling community for over four decades and is seeking a Kitchen Manager to join its team. Its mission is to provide good, fast, comfort food in a clean, modern environment. They pride themself on offering the best and freshest products to ensure guests always enjoy a great meal with fast service. They are looking for a motivated, professional, and experienced Kitchen Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Their busy 150-seat restaurant operates daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 7 days a week, ensuring a welcoming and efficient dining experience for all who stop by. Arnprior in Renfrew County is a great place to live, work and play. It's close to Ottawa and offers a number of urban conveniences with a small town feel. Salary is $55-60K annually.

Description

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire kitchen staff, set clear expectations, provide guidance, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation, cooking, and cleaning processes meet high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent food quality and presentation to meet customer expectations for taste and satisfaction.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage kitchen inventory, place orders for supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure kitchen staff provides timely, high-quality meals in alignment with the restaurant’s commitment to fast and friendly service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar leadership role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Ability to listen, communicate effectively, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Patience, empathy, and professionalism, especially under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
