Our Toronto based Recruiter, Chef Eric Wood talks about a switch in perspective in using the social enterprise model in his restaurants. He believes passionately that employment and opportunity can change and transform people’s lives. He is a true leader in Toronto’s culinary scene and a keen social and professional connector.

Chef Eric brings community and social enterprise to the food industry. His restaurant Hawthorne Food & Drink features a 3-month skills training program to build up careers, while FABARNAK provides a safe work space for youths. Eric is also involved in several regional and national social enterprises, including as the director or the Ontario Restaurant, Hotel, and Motel Associations Board.
