Summary
Our client is an established hospitality group with restaurants and hotels across British Columbia. We are seeking a Restaurant General Manager for a boutique hotel restaurant. The successful candidate will be service-focused with a background in developing teams and experience in beverage operations. As a leader in the business, you will be the face of the business on and off the premises, be involved in community events and be an ambassador for the property. In addition to running the day-to-day restaurant operations, you will also be involved in scheduling, inventory, ordering, HR, and development of the service team. The GM is a people developer, driver of sales and has an entrepreneurial spirit “on the floor” and in the community.
If you are a manager with 3-5 years of progressive high-volume experience in premium casual or hotel restaurants and a proven leader in your business, we would welcome the opportunity to share more information. The Salary range is $80K-85K.
Description
- Hiring of all staff, managing the team by promoting teamwork, as well as leading, training and mentoring.
- Implement policies and procedures to achieve high levels of excellence in all aspects of food, beverage, guest experience and day-to-day operations.
- Develop operational policies and procedures that drive revenues, service quality, day-to-day efficiency and best practices to reduce/maintain cost.
- Ensure food and beverage initiatives are coordinated with all stakeholders.
- A thorough knowledge of provincial and local regulations for food and beverage.
- Ensures all accounting policies and procedures are completed in a timely manner, responsible for purchases, costs, variances and implementing corrective actions to the budget.
- Ensure that all HR practices and policies are adhered to.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years experience in an upscale restaurant management position and proven ability to manage and maintain the highest level of service excellence and profitability
- Strong knowledge of food, wine and cocktails
- Proven ability to increase sales and drive traffic
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
