The Continuous Improvement (CI) Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Operations, will lead CI and quality-related initiatives at the Toronto facility, with plans to expand these improvements across other plants and  warehouses in Canada. This role will play a crucial part in driving profitability and operational efficiencies by enhancing throughput, reducing space and costs, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products to customers. $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year plus bonus

Description

  • Collaborate with the Production Superintendent and Director of Manufacturing and Warehousing to design and implement an annual CI plan, including setting targets, developing resources, and tracking improvements in a lean manufacturing setting.
  • Identify and resolve root causes of recurring production issues alongside Production Supervisors and plant management.
  • Partner with Production Supervisors to train new operators and introduce new processes to existing operators.
  • Generate weekly and monthly success reports for the facility and actively participate in daily production meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement Engineering role within a just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering) or Engineering Technician certification.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with adaptability to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset.
