Description
- Determines and actively solicits prospective customers garnered from existing market information and resources.
- Develops and maintains prioritized customer accounts and prospecting mailing lists.
- Solicits, prospects, and develops leads and quotes.
- Generates and presents proposals and contracts.
- Negotiates group bookings within established parameters.
- Independently generates new business and revenue objectives outlined in the action plans.
- Prepares and presents tailored presentations for prospective clients.
- Entertains potential and existing clients.
- Attends and participates in related business activities, out-of-town sales trips and trade shows as required.
- Participates in an annual incentive plan – based on achievement of activities and revenue goals.
- Coaches and counsels Sales Coordinator to maximize productivity.
- Complies with hotel policies and procedures.
- Highly visible with an accommodating attitude at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a sales manager role in the hospitality industry in the Toronto Market.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in hotel sales.
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, revenue management principles, and hotel industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sales software.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Must be available outside of regular scheduled hours as required.
